The ANCI - CO.N.I.P. agreement, effective since 1st July 2015, regulates the collection of plastic packaging waste (CO.N.I.P. trade mark crates and pallets) coming from urban recycling waste collection and other public services.
This voluntary agreement marks an important success for the municipalities which, together with plastic packaging collected from selection centres, will finally receive a fair compensation for the value of collected crates.
The municipalities will receive a fee for every ton of crates or pallets collected by the CO.N.I.P. Consortium and differentiated according to the collection modality equal to 200€/ton for started material and 20€/ton for mix material.
Regarding pallets, the above conditions will become effective after the issuing of the specific decree by the Ministero dell’Ambiente.
The aim of this agreement is to implement the collection of plastic crates and pallets. Within CO.N.I.P.’s system the current level of recycling is 60%.
